BSGW's 51st Semi-Annual Bead Bazaar

The BSGW's 51st Semi Annual Bazaar will be held on April 24-25, 2010 at the Activity Center at BOHRER PARK, located at 506 S Frederick Ave, Gaithesburg MD 20877, on Saturday from 10AM – 5PM, and on Sunday 11AM – 5PM. The proceeds from the Bazaar help fund the the BSGW’s educational and outreach programs, lecture series and other activities.

Since 1984, the Spring and Fall Bead Bazaars have grown to include up to  seventy vendors from around the world offering beads and findings,  ancient, antique and tribal; tools and equipment; contemporary designer jewelry and books.   Bead related lectures and demonstrations on various bead making techniques are presented.  

Don’t forget to bring your “mystery beads”.  The Society’s experts at the Bead ID table will identify them without charge.   The selection at the Society's Book Store offers a wide variety of books on beads and beadwork: history, culture, design, crafts, techniques, and  ‘how-to’ books with great gift ideas.

DIRECTIONS TO THE BAZAAR
The ACTIVITY CENTER at BOHRER PARK is conveniently located off Frederick Ave (#355) at Education Blvd –-go left at traffic circle, and follow signs to Center.    Abundant free parking available front & rear of building.

On Saturday only, free shuttle van on continual loop starting at 9:45AM from the Shade Grove Metro. Pick up in the Metro West Parking area –- look for van with “BAZAAR” sign in the window near the taxi & metro bus waiting area.
