When BSGW donated the Timeline to the Yale
Peabody
Museum, Ben Sarnoski, an illustrator and
anthropologist,
was hired as an intern to integrate the
collections. His
presentation will feature an overview of his
work of the
past year as well as his general conclusions
about beads.

Penny will discuss the importance of color in aesthetically
satisfying
jewelry design

Kathleen Manning
A HOW-TO
Program
Kathleen will share tips for making
wire-wrapped loops.
She will demonstrate various applications for
hanging pendants;
working with chains and for finishing
multistrand necklaces with cones.
NOVEMBER 10 Eksha Limbu
Eksha Limbu of Eksha Creations will give an audiovisual
presentation of jewelry making techniques of Nepalese craftsmen.
At our bazaar on November 12-13 Eksha will be selling her
handmade ethnicbeads and jewelry from Nepal.
DECEMBER 8
Kamal Rubaith
Annual Holiday Party and Lecture
The proprietor of the World Friend Shop in Sanaa Yemen,
Kamal Rubaih, lectured at the Bead Museum in 2003.
On this occasion Kamal will talk on the present state of Yemen's
silver market and will illustrate his lecture with new and old pieces.
Kamal will also be vending at our November bazaar.
